"Rise, let us be going" Matthew 26:46
The sense of the irreparable is apt to make us despair, and we say - “It is all up now, it is no use trying any more.” Whenever we realized that we have not done that which we had a magnificent opportunity of doing, then we are apt to sink into despair; and Jesus Christ comes and says - “Sleep on now, that opportunity is lost for ever, you cannot alter it, but arise and go to the next thing.” Let the past sleep, but let it sleep on the bosom of Christ, and go out into the irresistible future with Him. If we are inspired of God, what is the next thing? To trust Him absolutely and to pray on the ground of His Redemption. Never let the sense of failure corrupt your new action.
- My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers
When God seems to hide His face, know that He’s not really hiding His face but watching you in silence because He knows you too well to believe you will persevere in faith. He is still here, living inside of me.
So I remembered that prayer isn’t to impress God but to have a conversation with God. Heart to heart conversation.
Let’s be real in our prayer.
above all, I’m most hurt by your empty words.
be steady, my heart.
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glrious Father, amy give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.
To know him by the wisdom and revelation that comes from the Spirit will resolve all the burdens and problems in may heart for in Him there is hope and riches of his glorious inheritance and incomarably great power. All of those that I seek are in Him so seek Him first!
